-Why have I not heard of them before hand. I saw them live at the Fonda not knowing what to expect and I was hooked. $o$ is a album to get.

.31. "What We Do"_____Devo

-I was sooooo hoping to love this album (Something For Everybody), but this was the only track I liked.

.30. "The Mall and Misery"_____Broken Bells

-This album (Broken Bells) came and went. What happen? It's not anyones list that I have read. This is a great track and the whole album is GOOD.

.29. "Hang With Me"_____Robyn

This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.

-While Lady Gaga took a break during the Fall, here comes Robyn with a STRONG comeback. Now this is Pop music done right and what a smart artist to release 3 E.P.'s before the actual album. Smart, very SMART.

.28. "One Life Stand"_____Hot Chip

-What a STRONG comeback single (with the use of Laidback "White Horse" sample. Nice), but I was not crazy about this album (One Life Stand).

.27. "O.N.E."_____Yeasayer

This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.

-HELL YEA! Yeasayer released an AMAZING album (Odd Blood) and this was the KILLER standout track.

.26. "Best Friend"_____The Drums

-Another AMAZING album and they did not disappoint. Last year they released an E.P. with great songs and they delivered with this album (The Drums). I noticed a lot of self-titles this year.

.25. "Clarion Call"_____Delphic

-There was a bunch of hype on this band and when they did not play Coachella I was disappointed. FCVKn volcano. BUT...I got to see them open up for The Temper Trap and they blew that band away. What a show. The hype was TRUE!

.24. "Oh My"_____Operator Please

-Why have this band have not gotten any attention yet here. They ROCK and they are AWESUM live TOO! Get to know this band.

.23. "When the Party Is Over"_____Woodhands

-Another band I found by accident when I went to see We Have Band. They blew me away and I want to see them again.

.22. "If You Want It (French Horn Rebellion Remix)_____OMD

-I was so excited when I heard they where coming out with a new album (History Of Modern) and when it came out, I was not crazy about it. I did like the video and this remix.

.21. "Asian Kids"_____GoldenGirls

-Get the E.P.(XoXo) and you wont be sorry. I was not.

.20. "I Wanna Life"_____Goldfrapp

-She is back with a dance album that came out from the Footloose soundtrack. Nice. It took me awhile to get in to this album (Head First). A couple of listens and I was hooked.

.19. "Breakneck Speed"_____Tokyo Police Club

-WHAT A COMEBACK! HELL YEA! Champ (the album) is...AhhhWESUM! This is my favorite track from the whole album and it reminds me of "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins. What do you think?

GOLDFRAPP LiVE! @the.Hollywood.Bowl

Ahhhhhh, the smell of cheese in the air. $H*T! Really. You have to eat that nasty rotten a$ smelly cheese. I am trying to enjoy this show and here I thought my friend Steven farted. Pack that $H*T away. I do not know if it was all the cheese that people ate or what, but the crowd was......DEAD! When Buena Vista Social Club came out to perform, no one was dancing until the sun went down. I guess some people where scared to dance in the daylight or the liquor just kicked in. Once nightfall hit, some people got up to dance to Buena Vista and they where good (not the people, Buena Vista). It reminded me of my folks having a barbecuing in the summertime and my mom turning up the radio to "Candela". This was a great treat and I was glad that Alison (Goldfrapp) asked them to open up for her. Or did she? Or was it KCRW?

GOLDFRAPP opened up with "Voicething" ( just for a minute) and then played "Utopia" (of course). They always play that FCVKn song. Twenty minutes into the concert, NO ONE WAS DANCING! Just a few I see but, the people next to me sat through the WHOLE SHOW! Not even a tap on the floor or on the knee. Steven, his two girlfriends and I got up to dance to some of the classic songs; "Train", "Strict Machine", "Ooh La La" and so on. I was trying to get into it but I was not feeling it. I was hoping to see some crazy cheesy 80s visuals but nothing. Just a light show. LAME. When they palyed "Number 1", there was no bass. Some of the songs where missing that KICK (bass) and it felt a bit flat. Is it me getting old and I am loosing my hearing? They did not even play "I Wanna Life". That's my favorite song from the new album. I was surprised that they did not play anything from the Giving Tree (Seventh Tree) album. Nothing. I was okay with that. But I was very surprised. The concert was over in about an hour and we hung out for a bit to get Steven laid. J/K. But I did some crazy outfits. Cow print crocs (ugly $H*T!), Bananarama outfits (it's gonna be a cruel summer of 80s wear still) and gold Dr. Martins. WTF?!?! That was the best thing about the concert, just looking at the crowd after the show.

NEW! Christina Aguilera -{Bi-on-ic}-

When I first heard about the people she was gonna work on this album, I was in. I read that she worked with Ladytron, Goldfrapp, M.I.A., Santigold, Sia, Peaches, Le Tigre (wow, alot of females) and Uber Producers. When I heard the first single “Not Myself Tonight”, I was “Okay, not bad”. So on June 7th, I download the deluxe version from iTunes and it’s worth my $$$. You get a interview w/X-Tina about the album. She really praises Sia Furler (Sia, Zero 7) alot in the interview. Christina said ”the songs that I wrote with Sia are the heart of the record”. WOW! I listened to the tracks that Sia co-wrote; “You Lost Me”, “Stronger Then Ever” and “I Am” (my three favorite tracks), AWESUM! Even the songs from Ladytron; “Birds of Prey” and “Little Dreamer”. Amazing! Thats right.....Amazing. They are written and produced so beautifully. Just listen to it very closely and you will know why. Not to crazy about the other tracks from the Uber’s (sorry guys). Well, except by the one from Switch (M.I.A., Santigold); “Monday Morning” (another favorite track I like), I like. I was hoping to love the one by Le Tigre “My Girls w/Peaches” but it was not there for me. Oh well. In that case, buy this album and get the Deluxe version. It’s worth it. Nice good Xtina.

GOLDFRAPP - Head First-

At 1st I was not crazy about this album BUT......after a couple of listens......I was in. I was not crazy about the 1st single, “Rocket”. It put me off from listenin 2 the album. “Rocket” sounded like a cheesy 80s song from the Pointer Sisters (which I like don’t get me wrong, but it was not workin 4 me) that was thrown away and picked up by Alison. Then I head “Dreaming”, “Shiny and Warm”, “I Wanna Life” and “Believer”. I was.....”Alright”. Those R the outstandin tracks from this album. I was great 2 C in her credits that Richard X helped out. Right on. I just might get the LP after all.
