$H!T.  The L train is shut down for the weekend, so I had to jump on a different train to get to Williamsburg.  At first it looked a bit confusing at the directions they had posted on the wall, but it lined up pretty well. Now, how to get back home.  I hope it's the same way (which it was). 
I arrived to the venue and  the doorman had a hard time scanning my paper ticket.  When it scanned, he told me "if it was scanned before?".  This is the reason why I prefer my tickets at  will call.  He let me, thank God.   I walked in and the place was empty.  Only a few of us here.  There was a DJ (Eli Escobar) playing really cool music (about time).  I walked around and I like this place.  It's half the size of Webster Hall with a really good sound system. 

Midnight.Magic was the first band and they got the party started.  The lead female singer is funny.  She knows how to pump up a empty room and turn it into a party.  She got some people moving.
Jessica.6 was up next and the venue started to get busy.  It was another SOLD OUT concert for Holy.Ghost! and this is the last show for the year.  It was a  night of NYCity bands  and Jessica 6 did a great job.  Nomi came out looking HOT (as always)!  Not to many costume changes, but a strip down.  She slowly took off her top and revealed a almost naked chest.  The bra had nipples that made you think for a second.
My first time seeing Holy.Ghost! and they did not disappoint.  I always missing this band when they come to Los Angeles and what a show.  They had this really cool stage set up that reminded me of the old days (from what I saw in pictures).  They had all this electronic equipment that reminded me of early Kraftwerk concerts.  

I looked into the crowd and I did not see to many young kids in the crowd.   It was an 18 and over concert.  It was more of an older crowd and no drunks out of control around me.  I was up on a platform and you can see huge pockets of smoke in crowd.  This place was smoking it up.  You even smiled it in the bathroom.  

Holy.Ghost! set was quick.   Jessica.6, Midnight.Magic and DJ Eli Escobar all kicked a$$ tonight.  Even the guy up in front singing every song from Jessica.6 had a blast.  Music Hall of Williamsburg is a really cool venue, but $7.00 for beer, that's crazy!!!

WHAT?!?!?  I am up front at the Palladium?!   I'm never been right up front leaning against the rail.  Its almost 9 o'clock and the place is kind of empty.  You would think this concert would be sold out, but no.  The line up is GREAT and Cut Copy threw a kick a$$ show at Coachella this year.  So why a lite crowd?   I rushed here to catch Midnight Magic, but they have not gone up yet.
Midnight Magic was up and on bass was Andrew Raposo (he's from Jessica 6 and ex Hercules & Love Affair bass player),  how many bands is this guy bass playing for?  What a busy guy.  Midnight Magic is doing something different from what other dance bands are doing right now.  They are bringing 70's disco back to the dance floor with a 90's twist.  They played a couple of songs and they did a good job in pumping the crowd.  They got some of us moving and they where good.  If it wasn't for that free download from Scion, I would of not heard about them. 
Washed Out was up next and they did pretty good.  Nothing new or different from the last time I saw them at the EchoPlex.  I looked around and it started to get busy. 
Cut Copy hit the stage and what a show!  Of course people went crazy when they played, "Light & Magic", but it wasn't as bananas as Coachella...that was insane.   I was looking forward to the door that they displayed really cool visuals.  I wonder why they didn't bring it with them this time?  

They actually played "Sun God" in it's entirety and it was FCVKn AWESUM!   Tim Hoey (Guitar/Sampler) was all over place, but in a good way.  Couldn't keep my eyes off him. He was always doing something crazy.  Tim Hoey would get his guitar and drag it along the stage to get some noise.  There are times when he would get a tambourin and hit the symbols harder then the drummer.  He was pretty wild.  You would think the crowd would be wild too, but where I was at, they kept it together.  
If you haven't gotten the new album; Zonoscope or seen them live, you are missing out.   Everytime I see them, they throw an AMAZING show and they NEVER disappoint.

You know you are at the hood when they are setting off fireworks before the 4th and I don't mean fireworks you buy at those booths either. By the way, there are none (firework booth) in the city. Why is that? And there is always no one in my street lighting up any fireworks either. Did something happen? Not like I live in the woods or by the beach. Weird.

I arrived at Echo Park and the parking lot is FULL. I went to my secret parking place an that was taken, $H!T. It's looking like a good night. Nice. The last time I saw Jessica 6 was here at The Echo and it was an okay show. They had a few songs and they sounded, not so good. I recently bought the new album, "See The Light" and it's really GOOD. Very impressed. So let's see how they do tonight.

When did The Echo get a marquee? I loved it when it was just blank and now you see this bright light with names of the bands performing that week. Are people still having a hard time finding The Echo, that they decided to put that up. What ever the reason, Sux a$$, but it still has that cool vibe inside.

Of course Steven is late and I thought I was gonna be late because I just came from watching The Interlopers (another GREAT performance from the cast, they ROCK!). The theatre is just down the street and I left quick after the show, thinking they would go on around 10:30 pm. Sure enough, they did not. Jessica 6 went on until a quarter till 12. All this rushing for nothing. Before I forget, Chaz Bono was at the theatre to see The Interlopers and his girlfriend liked the play. So you know what that means. I'll just leave it on that.

I arrived to The Echo around 10:15 and it was not to busy yet. Steven arrived around 10:30 and the second band went on, Love Grenade. They where okay, but the lead girl danced liked Ida No (Glass Candy singer). The Echo started to get busy and here comes Jessica 6.

Nomi (Lead singer) comes out looking like Darth Sidious from Star Wars, Return of the Jedi. The stage lights where all off (very Gothic) during the first song and they came on after the second song. She took off the cloak and showed us her HOT sexy outfit, nice. BUT...you can see her underwear. Does that mean she still has her pee pee?

This time around they where better, but it was hard to make out what she was singing. Maybe where I was standing. Who knows. It was hard to hear her and I was maybe just three feet away from the stage. There was no encore and no Antony for "Prisoner of Love". Is he ever gonna join any of the people he collaborates with, live? I hope so and Antony should makes a dance album. It would be a H!T.
Besides the girls in front of me that kept turning around, ALOT. WTF! It was a GOOD SHOW.

Hercules.&.Love.Affair LiVE! @the.EchoPlex (L.A. CA)

Really? Why? The beatmatching is not perfect asshole and really? More mash up. Put that $H*T to rest. Hercules and Love Affair does not go on until 11p. It's very lite here today, but the cool thing, they have shirts this time. YEA. What? Only tank tops. I'll take it. It's hard to get a Hercules shirt. Just to let you know.

The 1st band went on and.....Oh wow, look at the floor, it's pretty. This band is something out of the 80's. The music sounds like the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2. The crowd is more entertaining. I see someone with a red Member Only jacket and all he needs to do is B-Dazzle that $H*T and he has that Michael Jackson "Beat It" jacket. Of course this band had to play a Prince song. Nailed it! Did I just see a glittered toms?!?! WTF?!?!?!

When that wanna-be Prince band went off stage they started to cler the stage for Hercules and I mean clear. The set up is very different from what I saw. No drum set or guitar stands, just turntables, mixer, a Apple lap-top computer and three mic's. Three microphones? I am so curious on what the new stuff is gonna sound. I know that Naomi left the band to start Jessica 6 w/Andrew Raposo (who also left Hercules). Jessica.6 are okay but they need a couple of good songs to top "Fun Girl". The EchoPlex is starting to get packed with all kinds of people, but I never see any transgenders, pre op's or post op's at a Hercules concert. Why is that? I love that Andy Butler (the man behind Hercules) puts a transgender as a singer. I think that is so cool. From what I know, Kim Ann Foxman (lead adorable singer) is still in the group. Nice. I like her. She reminds me of M.C. Kinky.

Hercules went on around 11:15p and they KiLLED iT! The new music that they played sound so promising. It had this old school 90's house disco beat to it. I like. Even the new singer that took Naomi's place reminded me of that genre. She wore this brown blouse with white polka dots and she had her hair done up like that singer in C&C Music Factory, but she was not hit the high notes like Naomi does. She was a bit flat. Even the other new singer was okay. They both where transgenders and they worked that stage as if it was the last day of there tour (which it was). They all looked like they where having fun. Kim Ann came out wearing this really colorful jacket that reminded me of Boy George circa 1980. She is so cute. I have a crush on her. There was another new member helping Andy Butler out with the knobs in the background. I forgot his name, but Andy was giving him high praises. Now......let's talk about Mr. Andy Butler. Wow, he is looking good. He lost alot of weight from the last time I saw this band. Right on. He to was having fun dancing and enjoying himself with the ladies. The really cool thing about this show was.......I saw people dancing! Yes dancing. So it took 2 transgenders, a lesbian, a gay man and I think a straight guy to have everyone dance here at the EchoPlex is very impressing. I would turn around and I would see people smiling and having a great time. That is so strange here in Los Angeles, but Hercules and Love Affair made that happen. AWESUM! A+

BOY.CRiSiS LiVE! @the.BROOKLYN.BOWL

.....I got off the L train on Bedford Ave & the avenue was jumpin. Wow. Can not believe how much Williamsburg has changed over the past years. It is it's own city down here. I walkD down a couple of blocks and I was surprised on how fast new apartment buildings where built and more bars. How many more bars do they need here? I made a couple of turns until I reachD Wythe St. There I came upon the.BROOKLYN.BOWL. There was a short line and it moved quick...............I walkD in2 the place not Xpectin it 2 B an actual bowling ally. Right on. I thought it was an old bowlin ally covertD in2 a concert venue and it sure was not. This place was jumping. U have the bowlin ally on 1side and the dancefloor/stage across from it. This place was REALLY COOL. I loved it. I lookD around and U had hipsters, frat boys, gossip girls & in-betweeners. The musik was okay. They playD ElectroTechno and I think they playD La Roux twice but different mixes. I lookD up and the place was convertD in2 a bowlin ally. So it was not an old bowlin ally after all. It use2 B a warehouse. Right ON. I lookD around in2 the crowd again and I saw Andrew Raposo (bassist of JESSiCA.6 and he also use 2 B w/Hercules and Love Affair) walking around. So this might B a good nite after all..............Time has passD and still the band has not gone on. What do U XpectD, it's NYCity. Everythin runs late here. The Bowl was still busy around 1am and sure enough, BOY.CRiSiS hits the stage around 1:10am. Okay. Not Bad. They where.....not what I Xpected from this band. The energy was good but the musik was not there 4 me. I was hoping 2 like them but not really. It was a great Xperience 2 hangout @the.BROOKLYN.BOWL. I well B back 2 C anothr band here soon.........

JESSiCA.6 (LiVE) @the.ECHO (Los Angeles, CA)

Yea.....this is.....soooooooo last year but I still remember it as if it was yesterday. I hope Ur guys New Year was great.....mine WAS! Thats story is on anothr blog cumin soon. But here we go w/JESSiCA.6........I arrived @the.ECHO around 10.30p and it was a bit empty but sure enough when time passed.....it was PACKED. Packed w/a very interestin crowd....of course. The 1st band went on and it was pure.....NOiSE! what the FCVK?!?! this is not the 90s anymor.....let's move 4ward. take that $H*T 2 Seattle. There was a person all in2 it and sure enough....he started 2 cover his ears.....not so kool now. DiCK. 11.15p and I C Andrew Raposo (bass player of JESSiCA.6) walkin around the venue. No 1 notices him or they R 2 kool 2 walk up 2 him. ANY.....The next band hit the stage and they where havin trouble.....that sux. they where bettr then the 1st.....okay....did i C a poncho go bi???? only @the.ECHO.....U get the crazy peep's in ultra kool wear up in here. Love iT!.......Here we go.....JESSiCA.6 is next.....it's 12am already and they need 2 wrap this up.....J/K. I moved up front and sure enough....the musik get's bettr. Do I here ROiSiN.MURPHY?!?! and GLASS.CANDY?!?! wow.....keep it goin. Sure enough....here we go....a drunk....of course. He was dancin havin a good time until he saw me and decided 2 bump knuckles w/me and went back 2 dancing.....okay?.?. JESSiCA.6 hit the stage and they where........okay. I wood C them again and give them anothr shot. The songs where......okay. They started w/"Fun Girl" and ended w/"Lie To Me" ( Hercules song).....not bad. JESSiCA.6.....i give U a 6.......4 now....
