Here we go and the latest fashion trends are present at this year festival; floral prints, bright neon, 1800 century, some P.O.C. (pop of color) and that native American looking prints.  I noticed a couple of changes this year.  For example, the parking.  They moved the free parking to the other side of the street.  The traffic was not bad when I got close to the venue.    

It's 12:15 and I got to see the last 10 minutes of Abe Vigoda and they closed their set with, "Throwing Shade".  

I walked around for a bit and watched some bands that I have not heard of; Wolf Gang, honeyhoney and Other Lives.  They where all okay.

 It started to drizzle a bit (now that's a first) and the temperature dropped 10 degree's.  Then 5 more at night of 10 and there was a lite wind blowing making it a bit more chilly. 

I went to check out what EMA is all about and I can't believe the hype.  I took off after the second song. 

Went to the main stage to catch James.  FCVK, the last time I saw them was somewhere in 1990 when Laid album came out and they performed at The Palace (now called, The Avalon).  They kicked a$$ then and today.  I was happy that they played "Sit Down" and Tim Booth (Lead Singer) decided to climd down from the stage and sing with the crowd.  AWESUM!  Tim Booth (Lead Singer) looks a bit like Michael Stipe which his head shaved.

I went to the Mojave Tent to catch Grouplove.  They where okay.  I loved the way they clashed Whitney Houston song, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" with their song, "Tongue Tied" and that almost brought me into tears. 

Arctic Monkeys was AWESUM once again and I was stuck for a second between going to see Madness and then come back for Pulp at the main stage.  When the Monkeys went off, I moved up close to the main stage and decided to stay for Pulp.  It was the best thing because they kicked a$$!!!  Sorry Madness.  Jarvis Cocker (Lead Singer) was all over the place and what a performer.  Even the visuals where cool.  The last song they performed was "Common  People" and the crowd went bananas.  I think I made the right choice.

I checked out Mazzy Star and she was too mellow for me.   I stuck around for a bit and after three songs, I left.  

I went to the Mojave tent and The Rapture was playing to a packed house!  I waited for M83 after The Rapture.  They started a bit late and that weird looking alien came out first.  Hey!!!! Why didn't they do that when I saw them at Nokia?  Of course they killed and once they played, "Midnight City", some of the crowd left.  WTF?!?!  

It was 11 o'clock and I was having second thoughts about watching The Horrors and I decided to just go.  I wanted to beat the traffic.  It was a good thing that I did because there was a little traffic getting out from the parking lot.  FVCK IT's COLD tonight!!!

Okay.  How the FCVK do you get the main floor?  NEVER get lucky.  I really don't FCVKn like  this place and from what I hear, the Fonda closed down.  WTF!?!?  Welcome back!  Happy New Year people and I hope you guys partied or kept it slow.  First concert of the new year and M83 did not disappoint, but what is up with this music? 
After my pat down, I went to the shirt stand.  From there, I went to the main floor.  It's not that crowded yet and I noticed that the DJ is playing Top 40 music.  REALLY!!!!  This DJ needs to get off the deck.  I did not come hear to hear Top 40.    
After that DJ, the opening act came on.  Two female drummers, HOT!  What's was more hot, was the lead singer pinching his nipple.  Nice.  What's more funny, the music changed so much after the opening act.  Much better.
M83 opened up with "Intro", but no Nika (I was hoping), but it still sounded so beautiful without her.  I was so surprised that they played "Midnight City" three songs before they left the stage for there encore.  I kind of like that.  I noticed a couple of months ago that Victoria Secrets used that song for there commercial.  I am all about artist doing that.  It's HARD to get music played on the radio these days so why not sell it to commercials and you get a BIGGER audience then radio anyway.  Good for them.

They closed the night with "Couleurs" and what a PERFECT song to end this K!CK A$$ night.  Can not wait to see them again at Coachella.  Can you believe that both weeks already SOLD OUT!?!?  That is crazy cool. It's are Glastonbury.

*****It took me awhile to like "Ritual" and the more I listened to the album, the MORE I FEEL IN LOVE.  Not a lot of people liked it, but you have to really listen to it very carefully with your headphones on.  One word...FCVKn AMAZING!!!*****

M83 (LiVE!) in Pomona.

HELL YEA! the.Glass.House here I cum. FCKN love old town Pomona.....i drove around a bit and noticed that they R buildin up the place. nice BUT I hope they do no kill the charm 2 this little downtown. I also noticed they renovated the FOX theatre. nice. now it's a concert venue....right on. i think is owned by the same people who own the.Glass.House. if it is......what a great idea 2 fix it up and make it a concert venue. HELLO SOUTH GATE! do the same 2 the.ALLEN. fix it up.I arrived on time but miss the 1st song. DAM! I should of done my tour after the show......it's all good.....BUT what an amazin show it was. they caged the drummer as if we where goin 2 throw beer bottles @him. he had this plastic wall around him......they might of done that 2 get a certain sound. I looked around and I noticed Anthony Gonzalez (lead singer/guitarist) chewin gum and singing. Bad Breath? funny. who chews gum and sings? Anthony Gonzalez does. I was tryin 2 enjoy the show but i had these girls (guys) just chatterin away that i hush them real hard. I never do that but the show was AWESUM! shut the FCVK UP an enjoy the show ASSHOLES! 2 me.....that is more annoyin then the textin next 2 me.....what the FCVK is goin on?I looked around the crowd and the only down fall here.....(B-sides that they do not sell alcohol here YET) nobody dance's.....well there where sum but not 2 many. POMONA. WAKE UP!
