YELLE.(L!V3) @Webster.Hall.(NYCity)

Yelle.2011
Yelle.2011
@Webster.Hall.(NYCity)
Thursday.December.8.2011

Housse.De.Racket sure caused a racket!!!  I was NOT gonna come to this concert until I read the opening band and they did NOT disappoint.  The first song they played was not so great, but after that, it was a great performance from them.  This is the first time for Housse.de.Racket  in the USA.  I have no idea if they are going to Los Angeles or San Fransisco.  If not, they are gonna miss out on a GREAT band.
Housse.de.Racket.2011Once I walked inside Webster.Hall, they where playing The Rapture "How Deep is Your Love?".  After Housse.de.Racket performance, they are playing the whole "Fever To Tell" album from Yeah Yeah Yeahs.   They are keeping it real tonight or YELLE requested this?  It always made me wonder.  Take a second and notice the music change.  I have the feeling that the headliner picks the music (sometimes).  Right after "Maps", the  lights went out, but they did not go on until "Y Control".  They should of waited after "Modern Romance" (LOVE that song).
Housse.de.Racket.2011YELLE came out with that dirty green looking shag again.  I noticed her symbol was not up.  She only did two costume changes and they where different outfits from last time.  No orange brite leopard outfit, just regular color with some gold.
Yelle.2011Ahhhhh, they  played "le musique" (made my Top.50.Songs.of.2011).  The crowd was very well behave until.....  I don't know if they where a couple, but they just shoved some people to the side to get to the front.  People gave some dirty looks at them, but no one caused a scene.  It surprises me because this is the city that pushes and shoves you if you don't move.  So far, no one has started a fight.  If this happened in Los Angeles, you would be crucified.  Of course, they came towards  my side and a girl next to me noticed that they blocked my view.  They where tall by the way.  She leaned over and told me, "people are such a$$hole$ sometime's".  "True, but this what you get at a concert", I told her.  She was cool to noticed my tough time looking over them and they where D!CK$.  They spoke to each other non-stop and looked at there phone.  I never get that.  I NEVER pick up phone during a performer on stage.  ONLY, during intermission.  I'll text back, but I'll NEVER call.  That CRAZY!!!  Who wants to yell and compete with the music and crowd?  Why look at your phone during a show?  Lonely?  Have a short attention span?  A$$hole!!!  But...it's a concert.
Yelle.2011Besides all that, Yelle kicked A$$ from the last time I saw her at the Music.Box (Los Angeles).  This time, I had batteries in my camera,  Yea!!!

YELLE.2011
@Music.Box.(Los Angeles, CA)
Saturday.May.22.2011

FCVK! FCVK! FCVK! I forgot to put my fully charged battery in my digital camera. $H!T. I must have spaced, but how many more pictures do I need of YELLE, right?

Today was Judgment Day and nothing happened. Hum. Who Said that May 21, 2011 was the day that God came and took the good people? I thought God did not judge us? I don't believe in the punishing God. But...as you can see, nothing happened and YELLE was AWESUM once again. They sure went crazy with the smoke machine, that it was hard to see her and the band. I was surprised the alarms didn't go off. We where smoked out.
jdn73,musicbox,losangeles,frenchhornrebellion
Of course I was surrounded by DRUNKS (do I attract them) and this lady was spilling her drink on my head. I didn't say anything. I moved up closer to the stage to avoid from saying something to her. Sure enough, there was another FCVKn drunk! Another girl. What is going on? But I was good about it. You are at a concert and this is what you get when you are up close. Every time this girl bumped into me, I kindly pushed her. I was surprised she did not say anything. Usually when I do that, they turn around. Her friends would move her, but she will come back towards my side. WHYYYYYYY!!!!!
jdn73,musicbox,losangeles,frenchhornrebellion
The opening act was French Horn Rebellion and they really broke out with a French Horn. I wanted to see them after I did not get a chance at Coachella, so I arrived early. To early, that the place looked a bit empty. My friend Steven was there and we chatted for a bit at the bar and once French Horn went on stage, we moved up to the front. They where...just...okay. They lost my interest after the first song. It was not the technical problems in the beginning, it was the music. They started with a good disco beat song and it went downhill from there. They did play there remix of Two Door Cinema Club "I Can Talk". Nice.

YELLE hit the stage at 10:30pm. There was a lot of cool lighting that I had to start using my phone to take pictures. I really don't like to use my phone because it takes crappy indoor pictures. When I downloaded my pictures to my computer, some pictures came out good, but they could of been better if I did not forget my FCVKn battery.

With some technical problems (French Horn Rebellion), being smoked out and being around drunk girls; YELLE gave us some CAMELTOE! on her last costume change. What a great way to end the night during Judgment Day.

Coachella.(Saturday).2011

April.16.2011

Compared to yesterday, the traffic was lite. It kind of scared me a bit because I never seen it like this on Avenue 50 and it's Saturday. The new wristband is working. They won't let you drive up to the parking lots unless you show your wristband. I wonder if they do the same on the people who walk to the venue?

I was here a little early because it was quick to get in. I went to checkout the shirts once again, but nothing. So I went to get something to eat and I got this FCVKd up salad. I should of taken a photo of this somewhat Greek Salad. It was just lettuce chopped up into little pieces sprinkled with a couple of tomatoes and a pita. $8.00 for this salad, but you know what, it was okay. The dressing was good.
coachella,jdn73,coachella2011,thetwelves
I went to checkout The Twelves at the Sahara Tent and they where...Awesum! They played a classic Blackstobe song that was remixed ("Me & Madonna") maybe by them. Then they dropped another remix by The Black Kids "I Am Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You", The Teenagers "Sunset Beach" and The Rapture "House of Jealous Lovers". My kind of music.
coachella,jdn73,coachella2011,foals
Went to see Foals and of course they where great. Yannis (Lead Singer) did his crazy stuff (stage dive into the crowd more then once). I thought he was gonna climb the rafters when he jumped onto the speakers and took off his guitar, but he staged dived once again. The crowd was a bit tamed until Two Door Cinema Club. People pushed there way in and some pushed there way out after Foals. This is when people start becoming dickheads. I thought this place was about peace and love? Watching the people trying to get out was FCVKd up. I thought it was gonna be a rough crowd watching this, but it was not to bad. Two Door Cinema Club tore it up. They had to get more security for all the crowd surfing going on. You know you won the crowd over when you need backup.
coachella,jdn73,coachella2011,twodoorcinemaclub
After that madness, I went to the Gobi Tent to checkout, Yelle. She came out with this costume that looked like a shag rug (dark green) and she wore this bright orange leopard print tights underneath. At least, she wasn't wearing some kind of saran wrap outfit like the lead singer of Glasser. Oh yea, say Glasser (BORE!) and what the FCVK was her and the band wearing? It looked as if they wanted a Safari theme as Yelle. At least Yelle was...simple and there new album (it's good by the way) is called "Safari Disco Club". It was great to hear some of the new stuff. The album was released two weeks ago and I cannot wait to see her again in May at the Music Box.
coachella,jdn73,coachella2011,yelle
Wire (BORING!). Big Audio Dynamite (ZZZZZ). Thank God for Empire of the Sun, some excitment and entertainment. The only thing interesting about B.A.D. was that Mike Jones (Lead Singer) came out with this fancy outfit that made him look like one of the members of the Rat Pack. Royalties from Clash album it seems. Nice. Of course, you had a douchebag shout out a Clash song. Empire of the Sun was up next after B.A.D. at the Outside Stage and they killed it. The only thing different from this show from the others I've seen was Luke Steele (Lead Singer) was hiding behind a curtain and it showed his silohuette. It dropped and the crowd went crazy. I thought the crowd was gonna be crazy here, but it was not as bad at all compared to Lollapalozza last year. Lolla was insane. I stayed for a half an hour because I wanted to catch Suede, I mean, The London Suede.
coachella,jdn73,coachella2011bigaudiodynomite,jdn73,coachella
This is my first time watching Suede and Brett Anderson kicked a$$! I have no idea why I never saw them in the 90's. I remember them being compare to The Smiths. I did not see the connection. Maybe they (Morrissey & Brett) are vegans, but it was a releaf to see a guitar band so connected to the crowd, compared to Wire and B.A.D (I guess they where there to collect). At Suede, you saw people bouncing up and down and singing along. Suede played hit after hit and they sounded amazing. Another great performance to wrapped up Saturday night.

November.17.2010

This is my first time here and this $H*T is crazy. They have metal detectors, a grip of security people and some pat downs. Did they not get the memo on the type of crowd they where gonna get?. Thank God I hid my camera. Once I got inside more security. Really?!?! I went straight to the bathroom and there was a HUGE line for the men's and no line at the ladies. Of course.
robyn,jdn73
I took a stroll when I came out of the restroom and It was PACKED! I heard it's sold out. How crazy is that. I just got my ticket last week. I was having second thoughts and then I decided to get my ticket. It was a good thing that I got my ticket, because I would of not known how cool of a size this venue is. BUT! U have to arrive early to get a wristband to be on the main floor. What?!?!?! This is bull and of course no queen is gonna give up her wristband. $UCK$!
robyn,jdn73
Since I could not go down to the floor. I walked around to find a good spot. Sure enough, I noticed the right hand side of the venue is not as busy as the left hand side. I went over and there was less people and a good view of the stage. I was just a few feet away from the rail looking down to the main floor. Then I noticed...the three drunk ladies (men) in front of me. At first they where okay and then they started acting up. The alcohol just kicked in. They where funny at first and then it got a bit over the top trying to be funny. They where craving for attention and they where begging for it. DAM!
robyn,jdn73
Robyn came out wearing this huge letterman hoodie jacket that made her look like a boxer getting ready to show us a great fight and she sure did. She ROCKED it OUT with her platform Timberland boots. The stage was simple. Two drummers (cool), two synth players and her name on the background. No costume changes (besides taking off her jacket), no backup singers or dancers. Just her with her crazy funky dance moves. She was equally as good as Yelle. They kept it simple and they gave us an AWESUM show. Sure enough, the drunk girls got crazy. They where doing there thing until Robyn played "Hang With Me". They started grabbing there friends from the back and pulling them towards them. That's when I shoved one of them and this a$$hole complained. Really? You just FCVKn pushed me that made me hit this girl (real girl) next to me (I did not say this to because I know this is a concert, but be a bit respectful). Of course he kept looking at me and I just ignored him with a smile on my face. Sure enough, they moved. Dickheads.

Robyn did two encores and she closed it off with "Dancing On My Own". Nice. So, does this mean that she will be back again for the release of Body Talk part 3? \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/

November.5.2010

There is a huge line for people who do not have tickets (that's a good sign). That's awesome that she has this really good turnout. It's crazy that she is touring without a new album out (White Lies did it, why can she, right?), but she does have a new single; "La musique" that just came out. This is my first Yelle show. I always keep missing her when she is in town. I never hear anything about her shows, so hear I go.

I am inside and it's a bit busy. I have no idea if the people outside are gonna get in. I am looking into the crowd and I see the skinny jeans, the plaid, the 80's hair do's, leggings and the cool kids. Something that was missing at Gary Numan's concert.
yelle,jdn73,echoplexyelle,jdn73,echoplex
The first band just went on and it felt like we where part of a joke. The beats are cool, but he yells and bounces to much. He is preaching more then singing. Oh no, he just released some balloons from his cape. Okay, this is crazy. Oh $H*T, he just released confette after a crazy speech on STD. Why can't we throw $H*T at bad performer's here? I guess we are more civilized here, but we should. At least paper cups, just for fun. This is CRAZY.
yelle,jdn73,echoplexyelle,jdn73,echoplex
OKAY. This was the $H*T! Yelle KiLLED iT! She opened up with this crazy heavy percussion song that just blew me away. The crowd was getting a bit rough and some people around me gave up. I was standing my ground and sure enough I get this drunk chick standing next to me acting like a a$$hole. I always get some kind of moron and they don't think they are at fault. She called me an a$$ (wow, so original) because I would not give her space. FCVK YOU, PUTA! This bitch just pushed to the front with her other drunk friends and she calls me a name. I just ignored her looking to the stage straight ahead and she complained about me to her friends. Funny. I could see them looking at me, but I was busy watching a concert. Sure enough, they moved. I guess it was my feet in the way. Ooops. The drunk chicks moved away for some strange reason (HAHAhhahaha) and they did not ruin this amazing show. It's crazy that she has this following because she only sings in French. That's awesome. She spoke to us in english and pumped us up on every song. They played some new one's that sound so promising. When they played the old stuff, the crowd went crazy. This was the place to be tonight and the kids where having a blast here. I could go on about the concert, but you have to go and experience yourself. There was no crazy light show, costume changes or dancers. It was her and two other male band members that ROCKED this place out. RIGHT ON! See you at the next Yelle concert. \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/
