I arrived just in time 2 miss IO.ECHO.....This band is evrywhere. Good 4 them. R they the only openin band they can get? I don't mind them but.....cum on. They R openin 2 almost evry band I go C lately. I wanna C a diff act. So yea.....I don't believe it was sold out. It was easy 2 get up in front. I looked around 2 C the type of crowd and it was mixed. But of course.....i was next 2 a couple of drunk people. Let's say....drunk geeks. They where funny but it came 2 a point.....ENOUGH! already. MayB they acted this way Bcause it could of been there 1st concert.....who knows. I left really quick 2 check if they had any shirts 4 sell and sure enough........no shirts. of course. They had FREE stickers......which i took a bunch of. I went back 2 my spot and the drunk geeks R still crackin jokes. nice. the.BiG.PiNK hit the stage and I was very impressed by them. I thought they where gonna B borin but they proved me wrong. Loved the female drummer they had. She was hittin those drums as if she hated them. and of course.....the drunk geeks had 2 say stuff 2 them in a fake English accent 2 them. I was glad that the lead singer (Robbie Furze) just ignored them. Which made them stop. Thank god.....I can enjoy the concert now.....WRONG! when they played "Velvet".....these 2 girls came out of nowhere and dumped me 2 the side. $H*T! So of course I do my crazy move and sure enough, they moved 2 the side. But once the song was over.....(which they talked through the song) they left. Was that song on a TV show Bcause they looked sooooooooo CW 2 me. U gotta love live concerts. With out these people......it wood B borin. So......the last song they played was "Dominos" and the drummer threw her set all over the stage aftr the song. PUNK ROCK LiVES!

WOW! Can Doug (lead singer) still move. How old is he? The more I kept lookin @him walkin around non-stop w/his sun glasses that where glued on him all nite, lookin a bit like Corey Feldman 2 me. This time around, they did not take off there shirts like sum1 in the crowd wanted. But this was anothr incredible show. They played the hits and includin sum new 1's that sounded good. Right on. This is what.....my 3rd time C'ing them and they have not disappoint me yet. But once again they changed the line up. The girl was gone and they got a new guy drummer but they still have YUMMY.......Bon Harris. He is still lookin good and loved his all black zuit suit wear he got goin on. FVCK! Of course he came down 2 join Doug 4 a song and did his dance. Nice. I looked in2 the crowd and it felt if I was back in late 80s early 90s. The crowd was dressed in ALL BLACK lookin as is we all came 2 a funeral. Loved it. What a flashback. People dancin and startin a.........pit? cum on U guys.....U R 2 old 4 that $H*T! put that $H*T 2 rest B4 U twist Ur knee. Also, I saw alot of male's and little bit of female's in here. Hum. The openin act SUXd A$$ big time. I 4got there name so thats a good thing. I went downstairs 2 checkout the shirts and.....WOW, they have a collection of nice 1's. But i kept myself from buyin 1. The lady was givin attitude. I guess she has not eatin 4 awhile. MayB that was the reason. I should of gave her my protein bar I had in my pocket. Who knows what was her trip but they lost $$$. Other then that, NiTZER.EBB KiLLED iT! and being w/ my friends (APRiLL, Martha, Tim & Dana) was the best thing of the nite. Just 2 watch them dance and have a smile was priceless. Love U guys. Let's C what Boy George is raving about....."the.DRUMs R a band 2 watch out 4" say's NME. So sure enough I went 2 there myspace page an added them and looked @there tour log. SpaceLand......on Monday......sure. Mondays R free so.......let's go and C what people R ravin about over seas. I knew 2 arrive early....thank god I did. Already a line but not as big when I saw EDiTORs here on a Monday. But once i got on line around 9.........10minutes later.......people where cumin in packs and the line was gettin bigger. AWESUM! Good sign so far. So Xcited 2 C this band, but sumtimes it can B dangers. Big hype, sumtimes......disappointments. It's 945p and they let us in and when i got close 2 the door......there was this guy tellin the doorman "I am on the.DRUMs guest list". I thought this was free. I guess. A list 4 a free concert....okay. so yea. The 1st band went on and it was.......not good. The drummer was the best thing 2 watch. He was all over the place with a huge smile......2 funny. I walked around 2 C what R they sellin. No shirts.....just the EP. Man. It started 2 get really crowded so I went back 2 the stage. 2minutes latr.....the.DRUMs hit the stage. No wonder (@1st) Boy George likes them.....pretty boys. They have females in the band.....? Oh......backup singers. Cool. Just 2 let U know......I have not heard any of there music yet.....but once they started w/the 1st song.....I WAS iN! AWESUM! Loved the crazy tambourin player (also plays the bass guitar). He was jumpin up in the air so high and hittin that thing all over the stage. I was waitin 4 him 2 hit the singer. NOW.......the singer was also great 2 watch. He had the dance of Morrissey mixed w/Ian Curtis. It was funny 2 watch but in a good way. LOVED iT! very surf pop music w/a modern twist......sumthin fresh w/backup singers......it was REALLY GOOD! I wood not mind 2 C them again. U wood think they where a European band but.....they R from Brooklyn.....of course. HELL YEA! I am in w/Boy George. Shirts......PEOPLE. next time i hope.

Here we go.....my fav place 2 C a concert in San Diego....the.House.of.Blues......love this venue.......so here we go. We (Deanna and I) arrived a bit late 2 catch the opener. The reason was crazy. We took awhile finding a validation machine that wood validate the ticket from the Hortan Plaza and the machines where not takin my ticket. I guess they cut them off @ 9p. $H*T! The exit ticket w/out validation was $22 FCVKN bucks! ouch. Next time arrive a little sooner.....oh well. I went straight ahead 4 the shirts and they ALL SUX! They only made 3 kinds. A bright green and pink.....CUM ON! This is not WHAM.....enough of this 80s $H*T! the 3rd was okay but it looked as if U needed 2 use 3D glasses 2 C what it said. Oh well. The opener had bettr shirts then him. We took off 2 the stage and we got up close from last time. Not 2 many people.....PERFECT. $H*T! I 4got my battery 4 the othr camera. DAM! no video. sorry. $H*T! I should of checked twice. I thought it was in there.JULiAN.PLENTi hits the stage and.....wow.....I like the line up he has on stage. I thought they where his roadie's. They did not look like Ur skinny thin, nicely dressed iNTERPOL cast. I like. Especially the chellist. nice touch. Made the music sound much bettr. PLUS.....Mr Bank's got a new haircut.......I like. He sounded good and he was okay. I think he was bettr then CASABLANCAs. He really did not need visuals. Paul kept it simple. Just the band. nice.

"This was not what I Xpected" said a girl w/her girlfriend exiting the venue. I was on that same boat. I was bored and the people around me was 2. I only saw 3 people next 2 me dancin 2 the most undancable songs from the album. Am I the only 1 not drunk here.....or is this BORiNG!?! I was ready 2 walkout but I was in2 the back drops. Loved it and the visuals. Almost evry song had a diff background......that was cool. When he sang "11th Dimension" & "Left and Right in the Dark" felt if I was watchin that 70s show...."the Partridge Family". Not bad. Thank god I stayed. Now lets talk about the venue.....LOVED iT! I want more concerts here. Love the old theaters in downtown L.A. They need 2 fix them up just a bit like the.PALACE here. Still has that old charm. Beautiful murals, ripped curtains, chipped paint, dirty carpet and bathroom (but it's not that dirty) original paint from the past and so on. I was LOVIN the place. I like this. Its not like the.ORPHEUM. But it can B and I hope not. I think the.PALACE was an old movie theater. They sold alcohol where they use 2 sell popcorn and candy. LOVE iT! They sold the shirts outside of the venue. AWESUM. It felt so good 2 have this in L.A. Is old downtown Broadway the new Lower Eastside? FCVK SilverLake and Echo.Park.....this is the place.What I also loved was that they flicker the lights 2 tell U that the show is gonna start. AWESUM! I looked around 2 C the people....WOW! American Apparel just threw up in here. $H*T! A couple of Strokes shirts. Did I C a winter coat and a scarf....what the FCVK. its not that cold. 2 funny. But the cool thing....what a perfect place 4 Julian 2 play @. It felt so New York City. He opened the show w/ "Ludlow St". Fits perfect here. Is he wearin high water pants 2 show off his shinny leather red/black boots.....LOVE iT! Wait...was that a Heuy Lewis & the News song he just played.....funny. Enough of me slammin on him. He did all right.....i guess. But I hope he is bettr w/the.STROKEs. I have nevr seen the.Strokes live. It took me awhile 2 get in2 the music. Now I am a fan. I hope he has more charm w/them. Other then the DRUNK person yellin @him next 2 me sayin, "Julian! I bought Ur shirt" he needs 2 move around 2 his music that he created or is he just collectin a pay check from us. LiTTLE.DRAGON (LiVE!) @the.GLASS.HOUSE (Pomona)

I went in 2 C this band w/out knowin so much about them or checkin them out on Goggle. And U know what......they where not bad. I 4 got how I heard about this band but i went 2 iTUNES 2 check them out and I liked what i heard and downloaded sum songs. I liked what I heard and added them as friends. Thats how I found out about there tour. 1 thing i did not get is why go 2 Pomona 1st and them hit Los Angeles in December....? So this was my chance 2 catch and C them 1st B 4 they headed 2 LA. And U know what........they where Not Bad @ all.They played the 2 songs that I have; "Looking Glass" and "Never Never". They sounded just like the record. AMAZIN. I looked around and people where in2 it and movin 2 ever song she played. I think there was 50 of use here @the.Glass.House. Even though it was a small crowd......it felt perfect. So check them out or just download this Swedish band that is pure sweet. Plus the lead singer (Yukimi Nagano) has sum cool little dance.

Remember that pop punk band in the 80’s? They where amazin until that 2nd album. WOW. What happen there? It was so polish and the rough fresh sound was gone. Well......this band, “You Say Party! We Say Die!” R as rough as FUZZBOX 1st album. This Canadian band knows how 2 put the fun back 2 dance-rock once again. So get the latest album “XXXX” by YSP! WSD! A MUST GET!

We.Have.Band (LiVE!) @CiNESPACE

I was double guessing 2 C this band (We Have Band) Bcause i just saw GOSSiP the other day and it went on late. So....when I looked @there event calendar......I saw that they where only here in L.A. 4 just 2nite and they head back out 2 Europe. So that changed my mind 2 C them. Thank God I did. They where pretty good. I wish there was more of a crowd 4 this but it was only 10 of us here. I noticed a little change here in CiNESPACE. They moved the DJ booth. Other then that, It was a slow nite here. MayB....50 people. We.Have.Band did no go on until 12:30am......so that was killing me. But i was glad that I stuck around 2 catch them. I would not mind 2 C them again. So....checkout this band.

WOW! was this the bettr then the last time around or is it just me? Beth Ditto (lead singer of GOSSiP) knows how 2 rock the house. That voice......AMAZIN. Evry1 was dancing and was right there w/her evrytime. Did C a little craziness but not as bad as the last time I was here. Well Bhave crowd 4 a rock band.I did not C the 1st band but I arrived just in time 2 C "MEN". Not bad. It was great 2 C JD Samson (Lead Singer) doin his/her thing on stage and lovin it. Nevr heard the music and from what I heard......it was not bad. It reminded me of early ELECTROCLASH and CHiCKs.on.SPEED. CHiCKs.on.SPEED Bcause of the clothies he/she had on and the props they brought on stage. Loved that crazy costume the bass player had.......so Medieval Times. BUT......when is the next LE.TiGRE album comin out? Thats what I am waitin 4.They had DJ Paul V play musis Btween bands and he FCVKd up a couple of times. HOLD UP. I send this guy my podcast 2 hear what he thinks and he writes back 2 me about beatmatching. I know I do not beatmatch that well but I am learning and here he is......FCVKn up. People where lookin up @him. I tell U. Enough of the mash-up. 1 song is good but anothr 1 and anothr 1. $H*T! I wanna poke out my ears w/my car keys. I was lookin around in2 the crowd and I happen 2 C Rick Rubin (Uber-Producer. He produced the new GOSSiP album and many many others) up on the balcony. I saw him have people removed from the 1st front center row of the balcony. WOW! He had people removed! WOW! DiVA! WOW! I tell U. WOW! Other then that DiVA.......GOSSiP KICKED A$$! They even played a classic 80s song that I love and played not 2 long ago on 1 of my sets and its on my new mix......TiNA.TURNER's "Whats Love Got To Do With It". HELL YEA! Beth did an amazin job and her voice......CHiLLs. She has a soulful voice and I did not C Rick stand up not even once. WOW! but othr then that......she loves her fans and I love the fact that it shows. Givin the mic 2 the crowd 2 sing sum songs.....COOL. On the last encore......it felt as she did not want 2 leave the stage. The band left but she stood there until the curtain fell. AWESUM!
