Part.3 of "My Top 50 Songs of 2010"

jdn73,top50songsof2010,podcast
Top.50.Songs.of.2010.(Part.3)

.18. "Best In the Class"_____Late of the Pier
-They are back with a amazing single. A MUST download.
.17. "Night"_____Zola Jesus
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-This song starts off so creepy with yells and BANG! You gets this beautiful song.
.16. "Birds of Prey"_____Christina Aguilera
-Nice. This album (Bionic) maybe a flop, but I think this is her best work yet. The collaboration with Ladytron on this track is FCVKn good.
.15. "Garden"_____Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-I found this band by accident on a mix I heard and I looked them up and downloaded some songs that are really good, but this was the standout track.
.14. "We Are The Dead"_____Does It Offend You, Yeah?
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-Never heard this track until they played it live and I was hooked. When I got home, I looked it up and sure enough I found. Can not wait for the new album next year.
.13. "Unholy Thoughts"_____Kele
-"The Boxer" is an okay album and this was the song that stood out the most for me. Please don't break up (Bloc Party).
.12. "Rhinestone Eyes"_____Gorillaz
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-The only track I liked from the whole album (Plastic Beach).
.11. "Total Life Forever"_____Foals
-AMAZING band and AMAZING album (Total Life Forever). Get the album, you wont be disappointed.
.10. "Running Out"_____Scissor Sisters
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-They are back with a all night party album (Night Work) that is pure fun. Love the album artwork. Reminded me of Saturday Night Fever 2.
.09. "The Safest Place"_____Sade
-It's Sade, what do you expect. Doing what she does best. "Soldier of Love" is a MUST album.
.08. "Echoes"_____Klaxons
-They are back and it was worth the wait. It took how long, 3 years to make? "Surfing the Void" takes them out of that NU.RAVE sound and brings some Hard Rock to there sound. Nice.
.07. "Bricks and Mortar"_____Editors
-This album (In This Light and On This Evening) came out last year, but in digital release only. Then it came out this year physically. This might be my least favorite album by them, but nice try. I wonder what is next.
.06. "Lost A Girl"_____New Young Pony Club
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-"Lost A Girl" beat out "Chaos" (another amazing track from "The Optimist" album). When are they coming back to L.A.? Do see Coachella.2011?
.05. "I Can Change"_____LCD Soundsystem
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-I heard this track live at Coachella this year and fell in love with it. It's a simple break-up love song with a throw back beat. Is this really the last and final end of LCD? I hope not. The party just got started. Reconsider Mr. Murphy.
.04. "Not In Love (feat. Robert Smith)"_____Crystal Castles
-WHAT A FCVKn AMAZING collaboration. How did they keep this a secret. Robert Smith's voice over a CC beat is BRILLIANT. I was not going to put it on, but this is a REALLY GOOD SONG. The way it flows and picks up. This is a perfect song. GENIUS!
.03. "What You Know"_____Two Door Cinema Club
-You gotta get to know this band and see them live, AMAZING! The album (Tourist History) is pure Electro-Rock fun. It's full of energy and great tunes.
.02. "Right Behind You"_____Brandon Flowers
-At first, I was not crazy about "Flamingo", but a couple of listens and I was hooked. Who is next to go solo, Karen O...maybe?
.01. "Lights"_____Interpol
-When they gave this track out for free, I could not stop playing it. The way it starts and how it picks up and ends. This is another perfect song. I do not know if it's me, but I always feel the emotion every time Paul Bank's sings. He is a true poet and a underrated one like the best (Morrissey, Robert Smith, Martin Gore, Bernard Sumner, Ian Curtis, just to name a few). This is there worst album (Interpol), is pure BULL$H*T!

Tricky (LiVE!) @the.Troubadour (Los Angeles, CA)

tricky,jdn73
Tricky
@the.Troubadour
Wednesday.December.22.2010

DAM! I have never seen a lazy performer in my life. Not even a minute into the show, Tricky takes his shirt off. Does he think he is the nex Iggy Pop? I did not hear a yell from anyone in the crowd. Funny. This is a disappointment. He could of been high because I could hardly hear him. The girl did more of the singing (more like whispering) and she wasn't great. She looked a bit like Amy Winehouse and she sometimes wanted to sound like her. She was no Martina Topley-Bird. While she was singing, Tricky would be facing the drummer just smoking his cigarette and move side to side a bit. I was surprised that they let him smoke. Not only once, but a couple of times.

Before the concert started, Tricky was walking around the venue with two security guards. Really? Has anyone told him that we all aged. I did see a couple of parents with there kids. I like seeing that.
tricky,jdn73
Tricky only played two songs from "Maxinquaye" (What?!?! and they didn't even sound great. It was WEAK!) album and I don't think any from "Pre-Millennium Tension" (What?!?!). I wanted to hear a lot from the first two albums, but no. I was bored by the third song, but I stuck it out to see where this concert was gonna go. He started to invite people on stage. Not only once, but twice. Now that was a crazy. It seemed like half of the crowd was on stage. They kept pulling people up until you no longer see the stage and Tricky. There was this lady who went up and started to rub Tricky all over his body. It seemed like he didn't like it because he turned around and grabbed her arms. She looked a bit shocked. You would think he enjoy that. Maybe his girlfriend or wife was in the crowd.
tricky,jdn73
Tricky went off stage and he came back on with his shirt on this time. He played a couple of songs and disappeared into the audience. He never came back on stage and his band stopped when they notice he was not coming back. I won't be back for sure.
\m/ - shoot me now.

Top.50.Songs.of.2010.(Part.2)

.33. "Atlas Air"_____Massive Attack
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-Amazing track from them.
.32. "Enter the Ninja"_____Die Antwoord
-Why have I not heard of them before hand. I saw them live at the Fonda not knowing what to expect and I was hooked. $o$ is a album to get.
.31. "What We Do"_____Devo
-I was sooooo hoping to love this album (Something For Everybody), but this was the only track I liked.
.30. "The Mall and Misery"_____Broken Bells
-This album (Broken Bells) came and went. What happen? It's not anyones list that I have read. This is a great track and the whole album is GOOD.
.29. "Hang With Me"_____Robyn
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-While Lady Gaga took a break during the Fall, here comes Robyn with a STRONG comeback. Now this is Pop music done right and what a smart artist to release 3 E.P.'s before the actual album. Smart, very SMART.
.28. "One Life Stand"_____Hot Chip
-What a STRONG comeback single (with the use of Laidback "White Horse" sample. Nice), but I was not crazy about this album (One Life Stand).
.27. "O.N.E."_____Yeasayer
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-HELL YEA! Yeasayer released an AMAZING album (Odd Blood) and this was the KILLER standout track.
.26. "Best Friend"_____The Drums
-Another AMAZING album and they did not disappoint. Last year they released an E.P. with great songs and they delivered with this album (The Drums). I noticed a lot of self-titles this year.
.25. "Clarion Call"_____Delphic
-There was a bunch of hype on this band and when they did not play Coachella I was disappointed. FCVKn volcano. BUT...I got to see them open up for The Temper Trap and they blew that band away. What a show. The hype was TRUE!
.24. "Oh My"_____Operator Please
-Why have this band have not gotten any attention yet here. They ROCK and they are AWESUM live TOO! Get to know this band.
.23. "When the Party Is Over"_____Woodhands
-Another band I found by accident when I went to see We Have Band. They blew me away and I want to see them again.
.22. "If You Want It (French Horn Rebellion Remix)_____OMD
-I was so excited when I heard they where coming out with a new album (History Of Modern) and when it came out, I was not crazy about it. I did like the video and this remix.
.21. "Asian Kids"_____GoldenGirls
-Get the E.P.(XoXo) and you wont be sorry. I was not.
.20. "I Wanna Life"_____Goldfrapp
-She is back with a dance album that came out from the Footloose soundtrack. Nice. It took me awhile to get in to this album (Head First). A couple of listens and I was hooked.
.19. "Breakneck Speed"_____Tokyo Police Club
-WHAT A COMEBACK! HELL YEA! Champ (the album) is...AhhhWESUM! This is my favorite track from the whole album and it reminds me of "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins. What do you think?

Friday.December.17.2010

"This is not what I expected", some girl said next to me. She kept on laughing and giggling for about 10 minutes into the show. I came close to saying something, but they walked out. Nice. They where not the only one's laughing and giggling at Peaches. Almost a quarter of the people where. I was (in my head), "did you guys not read into it?". It's her take on Jesus Christ Superstar. It's not gonna be this crazy Peaches show. The girls in front of me left and now the people on my right hand side decided to make out. Nice. One thing for sure, the crowd is very interesting to watch. The freaks do come out at a Peaches show and there is ALOT of them here tonight.

I never seen Jesus Christ Superstar so I have no idea what to expect. So far, this production feels like I am at a high school musical performance and some of the crowd does not help because of the laughing and giggling. I new it was gonna be something different, but who new it was gonna be just her with a piano player. I almost fell asleep in the first act. There should of been some dancers and some visuals. Just to keep people's mind busy. I came close to not coming but I was curious. I should of stayed that way.
peaches,jdn73,peacheschristsuperstar
I had to walk around during the intermission to wake myself up and to hear people. I went to the restroom and there was a girl barfing around a toilet not knowing that she was in a men's bathroom. Some one told her that she is missing a incredible show. I was, what?!?! Its not that incredible, it's just okay. So far a positive review and no one in the restroom disagreed. I was waiting for someone to say something bad, but nothing.

I went towards my seat and I noticed a person that looked like Jack Black seating behind me. I just thought he was a female to male. Hahahahahaha. I guess the haircut did not help. Who knows, but sure enough, it was him. People where taking pictures at the end of the show with him and that's when I new it was him. He is a Peaches fan, right on.
peaches,jdn73,peacheschristsuperstar
The 2nd half of the show started and some people had left. The couple that was making out never came back. Oh well. It was still the same set up, just her and the pianist. She did a costume change. Towards the end of the show the dancers came out. What?!?! She had dancers on stand by at the end. She crazy. When it was over, I was hoping for Peaches to give us a taste of a new song, but nothing.
\m/ - Bang!

Top 50 songs of 2010.(Part.1)

.50. "Ricky"_____Uffie
-Uffie is back with an okay album "Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans" that was SLAMMED by NME. This was the standout track for me, DIRTY.
.49. "Three Thousand"_____These New Puritans
-AWESUM track! This is a band you need to lookout for.
.48. "Krimson"_____Warpaint
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-Watch out for this band next year and see them LiVE! AMAZING!
.47. "Divisive"_____We Have Band
-I want a WHOLE album from this band. They spit out singles almost every 4 to 6 months.
.46. "Under Control"_____Good Shoes
-I wanna see this band LiVE!
.45. "Burning In the Skies"_____Linkin Park
-I was hoping to love this new album, but this was the only track that grabbed me.
.44. "Dance Around the Fire"_____The Golden Filter
-Saw this band open up for The Presets last year in NYCity and they impressed me. The album "Voluspa" did not disappoint. Watch out for them next year.
.43. "New Day"_____Teenagersintokyo
-Found this band by accident and thank God I did. There album "Sacrifice" is AMAZING!
.42. "Communion"_____Maximum Balloon & Karen O
-I was SOOOOOO hoping to love this side project by David Sitek (TV On the Radio), but I was not crazy about this album. This was the only track I liked the most.
.41. "Everytime I Go to Sleep"_____Holly Miranda
-I never heard of her and when she opened up for The xx last year in San Diego, I was hooked.
.40. "Rad Pitt"_____Egyptian Hip Hop
-Watch out for this band next year.
.39. "It Takes a Muscle"_____M.I.A.
-MAYA took me awhile to get use to. A couple of listens I was digging this album and this track. Reminds me of Massive Attack.
.38. "There's Nothing Underwater"_____Lightspeed Champion
-You gotta love the starter of Electro Dance Punk, Devonte Hynes. What a change. From hard to soft rock. No matter what he does, it's done right.
.37. "Let's Get Out of Here"_____Les Savy Fav
-This band has been around the same time as Yeah Yeah Yeahs and I saw them open up for them in 2003. It's about time they get there break with this really cool catchy Pop-Rock song.
.36. "Dirt"_____Headman
-Manhead or Headman, is he ever coming to L.A. anytime soon? I hope so.
.35. "Feeling Without Touching"_____Glass Candy
This track is not played because it was used on a mix before.
-When I first saw Glass.Candy (at the.Troubadour), I was bored. I saw them again at Coachella and they blew me away. A new recored maybe, next year? I hope.
.34. "Don't Turn the Lights On (Aeroplane Remix)"_____Chromeo
-The original track is okay, but this remix by Aeroplane is pure BLISS! Nice.

WARPAiNT (LiVE!) @the.TROUBADOUR

warpaint,jdn73
Warpaint
@the.Troubadour
Sunday.December.12.2010

I arrived super early because I noticed some changes around the neighborhood on parking last time. So I just wanted to make sure I saw it right and sure enough they did change the headers. So I looked around and I found a spot nearby my old spot. Nice, but I double checked just to make sure and it was cool to park.

I am inside the.TROUBADOUR and it's half empty in here and I grabbed a good spot. For a Sunday night SOLD OUT show is very empty right now. The first band went on (Drug Cabin) and they where good. They only played four songs and I wanted more. I need to look them up when I get home. Wow. This place got packed quick when they got off.
warpaint,jdn73
I looked into the crowd and it's very colorful (clothing) and young. I was hoping for some dark and goth attire. I see jackets, coats, beanies and some scarfs. Did these people flew in from the east coast? It's was FCVKn warm out today and tonight it's breezy and cool like a summer night.

The next band was CC. Does that stand for Crazy Crap? What the hell was that? When I saw the stage setup (3 drum sets and a Korg), I thought it was gonna be some crazy cool jam thing because one member from Drug Cabin is in this band. Once they started I was BORED. Just atmospheric noise.
warpaint,jdn73
WOW! Now that was a show. All that buzz and they lived up to it. I have the album and it's a good album, but hearing it live was AMAZING. They changed some of the songs around which I prefer better then the actual album. I was so invested from start to finish and I think the people around me where to. It was a GREAT show, but I wonder if they had no visuals would they still been as great? I think so.
\m/ \m/ \m/ \m/ - Rocked It!

Diamond Rings
@Check Yo Ponytail 2 (EchoPlex)
Tuesday
November.23.2010

Hell Yea. Diamond Rings is performing and I can not wait to see what he is all about. I like the videos he has on YouTube. He has something going on.

This is the first night of Check Yo Ponytail 2. It use to be held at Safari Sam's two years ago, I think. Safari Sam's was a cool spot, but what happen to it?! They just closed it after a few year run (I think only two years). I need to look it up. I was reading into "Check Yo Ponytail 2" and the people behind it want to change it up a bit. They want to focus on the bands more then just having a night club. Kind of like CineSpace on Tuesday. I know there is a story behind Dim.Mak Tuesday's and Check Yo Ponytail, but who cares. I am here and who ever gets a good band at either place, i'll be there. Just happens that Check Yo Ponytail got Diamond Ring. There are more bands on the bill. They have "The Naked and Famous" (did they get there name from a Tricky song?) and "Midnight Juggernauts" (again).
diamondrings,jdn73
I arrived early to catch Diamond Rings and once I was inside, it's was very lite. Very lite that I was up in the front. The music is okay that the Dj was playing, but every song was cut short to be mixed in to the next song. Less the a minute or two.

Diamond Rings went on and he is FCVKn tall Canadian. He was by himself wearing gold leggings, blue leather jacket (not his size), all white hightops (I think from Nike) with white socks and a gold chain with little stuff on it. Rock on. He was okay. He played the guitar, the synth and he danced while singing. Now that's talent. He kept me entertained and he was very watchable. The music was very homemade brought to life at a night club. I looked around and I saw some people dancing to his stuff and singing. Cool. He did okay. I would like to see what he does next. \m/ \m/ \m/
diamondrings,jdn73
I stepped out from the front and I noticed that it got busy in here. I guess some of the people are here for the headliner and "The Naked and Famous". Who is this band? They just popped out of nowhere and getting all this attention. Naked was up next and from what I see and hear, it's a step up from Diamond Rings (big time), So far, this is boring to me. The music is VERY polished. If I was working for a major label I would sign them. If I was working for an indie I would not, I would sign Diamond Rings. I could see the intrest of this band. They remind me of Shiny Toy Guns. The sound is cool, but I do not see myself downloading there music anytime soon. Maybe. \m/ \m/

Hey, John O (Diamond Rings guy) just passed by me. He is heading outside to the smoking section. Groovy.

I just googled "The Naked and Famous" and of course they are signed to a major. No $H*T. That explains the people here to see them. It's almost midnight and The Juggernauts have not hit the stage so I am out.

ROBYN.(LiVE!) @Nokia.Club (Los Angeles, CA)

robyn,jdn73
Robyn
@Club.Nokia
Wednesday
November.17.2010

This is my first time here and this $H*T is crazy. They have metal detectors, a grip of security people and some pat downs. Did they not get the memo on the type of crowd they where gonna get?. Thank God I hid my camera. Once I got inside more security. Really?!?! I went straight to the bathroom and there was a HUGE line for the men's and no line at the ladies. Of course.
robyn,jdn73
I took a stroll when I came out of the restroom and It was PACKED! I heard it's sold out. How crazy is that. I just got my ticket last week. I was having second thoughts and then I decided to get my ticket. It was a good thing that I got my ticket, because I would of not known how cool of a size this venue is. BUT! U have to arrive early to get a wristband to be on the main floor. What?!?!?! This is bull and of course no queen is gonna give up her wristband. $UCK$!
robyn,jdn73
Since I could not go down to the floor. I walked around to find a good spot. Sure enough, I noticed the right hand side of the venue is not as busy as the left hand side. I went over and there was less people and a good view of the stage. I was just a few feet away from the rail looking down to the main floor. Then I noticed...the three drunk ladies (men) in front of me. At first they where okay and then they started acting up. The alcohol just kicked in. They where funny at first and then it got a bit over the top trying to be funny. They where craving for attention and they where begging for it. DAM!
robyn,jdn73
Robyn came out wearing this huge letterman hoodie jacket that made her look like a boxer getting ready to show us a great fight and she sure did. She ROCKED it OUT with her platform Timberland boots. The stage was simple. Two drummers (cool), two synth players and her name on the background. No costume changes (besides taking off her jacket), no backup singers or dancers. Just her with her crazy funky dance moves. She was equally as good as Yelle. They kept it simple and they gave us an AWESUM show. Sure enough, the drunk girls got crazy. They where doing there thing until Robyn played "Hang With Me". They started grabbing there friends from the back and pulling them towards them. That's when I shoved one of them and this a$$hole complained. Really? You just FCVKn pushed me that made me hit this girl (real girl) next to me (I did not say this to because I know this is a concert, but be a bit respectful). Of course he kept looking at me and I just ignored him with a smile on my face. Sure enough, they moved. Dickheads.

Robyn did two encores and she closed it off with "Dancing On My Own". Nice. So, does this mean that she will be back again for the release of Body Talk part 3? \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/

November.12.2010

Sunny or Johnny and the Sunsets? What ever it is, time to pack it up and go back to San Fransisco. Not digging it.

Another band from San Fran is on this bill called "Weekend". They sound like a band from 1990. It's noise and I can not make out what the lead singer is saying. It's very shoegazer. I noticed that the lead singer loves playing with his hair...ALOT! He keeps rubbing it to have that "I just got out of bed look". He needs to stop so they can wrap this up.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. What can I say. Thank god I did not get a shirt. I can not believe I missed Home Video for this. At least I heard the song I like; "Young Adult Friction". They started to bore me because every other song sounded the same. They had this happy happy joy joy kind of sound that makes you bop your head side to side. It was not for me. They did not have a ballad. Now I know why I did not download the whole album. Man, I missed Home Video!

Yelle
@EchoPlex
Friday
November.5.2010

There is a huge line for people who do not have tickets (that's a good sign). That's awesome that she has this really good turnout. It's crazy that she is touring without a new album out (White Lies did it, why can she, right?), but she does have a new single; "La musique" that just came out. This is my first Yelle show. I always keep missing her when she is in town. I never hear anything about her shows, so hear I go.

I am inside and it's a bit busy. I have no idea if the people outside are gonna get in. I am looking into the crowd and I see the skinny jeans, the plaid, the 80's hair do's, leggings and the cool kids. Something that was missing at Gary Numan's concert.
yelle,jdn73,echoplexyelle,jdn73,echoplex
The first band just went on and it felt like we where part of a joke. The beats are cool, but he yells and bounces to much. He is preaching more then singing. Oh no, he just released some balloons from his cape. Okay, this is crazy. Oh $H*T, he just released confette after a crazy speech on STD. Why can't we throw $H*T at bad performer's here? I guess we are more civilized here, but we should. At least paper cups, just for fun. This is CRAZY.
yelle,jdn73,echoplexyelle,jdn73,echoplex
OKAY. This was the $H*T! Yelle KiLLED iT! She opened up with this crazy heavy percussion song that just blew me away. The crowd was getting a bit rough and some people around me gave up. I was standing my ground and sure enough I get this drunk chick standing next to me acting like a a$$hole. I always get some kind of moron and they don't think they are at fault. She called me an a$$ (wow, so original) because I would not give her space. FCVK YOU, PUTA! This bitch just pushed to the front with her other drunk friends and she calls me a name. I just ignored her looking to the stage straight ahead and she complained about me to her friends. Funny. I could see them looking at me, but I was busy watching a concert. Sure enough, they moved. I guess it was my feet in the way. Ooops. The drunk chicks moved away for some strange reason (HAHAhhahaha) and they did not ruin this amazing show. It's crazy that she has this following because she only sings in French. That's awesome. She spoke to us in english and pumped us up on every song. They played some new one's that sound so promising. When they played the old stuff, the crowd went crazy. This was the place to be tonight and the kids where having a blast here. I could go on about the concert, but you have to go and experience yourself. There was no crazy light show, costume changes or dancers. It was her and two other male band members that ROCKED this place out. RIGHT ON! See you at the next Yelle concert. \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/

FCVK! I am tired of this hot weather. It was 95 yesterday and today is 90 but it feels 100. I want the cold and the rain from last week. Besides my rant about the weather, I am so excited to see Gary Numan tonight. I never seen him live and I was bend out of shape when he did not perform at Coachella this year because of the volcano. I heard alot of good things about him live so let's see. I read that he is playing "The Pleasure Principle" album only. AWESUM!

I walked in and I went straight for the shirt stand and then I realized, "he owns his own plane, he doesn't need money". I left and headed to the main floor. I looked around and it's a older crowd. Did not see anyone under 30 here at all. Some of these older folks don't care how they come to a concert. I see some of them wearing shorts with flip-flops. I know its warm out, but come on, put a little effort. Did not see any cool kids with skinny jeans, Toms, Converse, asymmetrical haircuts or plaid.

Over the P.A. I hear them playing Zola Jesus "Night" (beautiful song) being played. The person next to me thought it was Fever Ray. Okay. I heard this guy talking to his friend that he was here for The Knife concert (I was too). Would he not know that? I had to correct him. There was another person next to me wanting to know who was playing and I told him. I am the Zola Jesus promoter.

Gary Numan went on at 10 something and he was on it! He sounded great. I wonder why he decided to play "Cars" towards the middle of the show. I guess people expected that song to finish the night (like me). After they played that song, they cleared the stage of his synths. They brought him out a guitar and that's when it went into his electro hard rock set. It sounded good. It reminded me of Nine Inch Nails (I was trying to look for Trent in the crowd) and IAMX. I was looking around and some people where out of it. It seemed like they wanted to hear the old stuff. They woke up when he played a really cool remake of, "Are "Friend's" Electric?". It was Awesum. After that, he went off stage and came back with his hardcore electro rock stuff for three songs. Some people where into it and some where not. I heard about his rock stuff and it was okay. Over all, he was good. Rock on Gary! \m/

It's election day and we have a new Governor (hell YEA! Arnold is O.U.T.). Prop 8 and 19 did not pass (DAM!), but we have a new Governor. New Governor! New Governor! I am so HAPPY!
Here I am once again to see Two.Door.Cinema.Club. and they killed it tonight, again. Before the concert started, I went to checkout the shirts and they had a couple of new ones. Did not buy any because I like the one I bought last time at The Troubadour. I went to the main floor and it was packed. Funeral Party just finished up and TDCC is up next. It's only 9:30pm. That was fast.

Two.Door.Cinema.Club where FCVKN AMAZING! They played a new song that was really good. Can not wait to get my hands on it when they release it. I noticed that the crowd was not dancing. What is wrong with the people here?! Sure enough, towards the end, people where dancing. Thank God! I was about to say. \m/ ROCK ON! \m/

No I am not a hardcore Interpol fan, it just happen that this one went on sale first. When I heard they where gonna play at Pomona, I prefard see them there then here. Interpol is a band that needs to be seen indoors then outdoors. It was a good thing that I did not sell this ticket.

I went straight to shirt stand and got my shirt (just to let you know, I washed it and the MTHRFCVR shrunk!). From there, I went to the bathroom. There was this guy next to me, barfing. The show has not even started yet. A couple of people where making fun of him. Of course you had a jerk to call him a "Faggot". Wow, you would think, but of course.

It's 60 degrees tonight and the scarfs, beanies and layering is out in full force. Groovy. I walked around for a bit and The Greek felt like a little carnival. They had tents that sold stuff like beer, kettle corn, posters and so on. I went back to my seat and sure enough, I had drunks around me. They behaved, but what's up with the FCVK food shopping during the show. It was non-stop. One after the other. So I had them walk behind me.

Interpol went on and they FCVKn killed IT! They where better here then the Pomona show. I was hoping the opposite, but they where on it. Interpol played more songs from the first album and four encore songs! The playlist was the same, but they tweaked it. When they played "Try It On" (new song), I noticed a bunch of people got up. Hey, that's a good song.

It got crazy down at the pit on the last 30 minutes of the show. People got up on stage and once up there, they where tacked by security. That $H*T was crazy. The last person that went up there took the mic and the stand (Paul Banks mic stand) with him and he would not let go. So they dragged him off the stage with the mic and stand. That left Paul mic less for a couple of seconds and pickless. Paul kept it cool with the whole thing. AWESUM!

After this AMAZING show, I bumped into my friend Blanca (hello Blanca!). She spotted me and we hungout for a bit. She just arrived from watching Interpol at Vegas last nite(WOW!). She also went 2 Pomona. Now that's a true fan, but she did not go to the San Diego show (shame on you). Blanca was a bit out of it because she only had a couple of hours of sleep from the Vegas trip. She was here with her cousins (I think, I forgot, sorry).

We where hangout and she wanted to stick around to met the band. I was down for it. While we where waiting, Blanca introduced me to a couple of ladies who she met on line that went to the same shows as she did (Groupie's!). They are here to hunt the band out. We stuck around to almost everyone left, but there was just a couple of us still here. This is fun because I never done this before. I might get to meet the band. Cool.

We where outside of The Greek and sure enough, I see Paul Banks walking to his tour bus. Kids where yelling his name and he would wave at them. This is so interesting. I feel like a groupie. Paul Banks came back out and went inside a car that was parked next to the bus. I was thinking "These kids are gonna rush the car" and they DID NOT! WHAT?!?!?!? They just stood there and yelled his name while the car just went by us. Lame A$$ fans. If I was 16 or so, I would be on the hood of the car or I would of ran to my car and followed him. Some kids left, but others waited for the band to come out. We stuck around for a couple of minutes and then we decided to leave. Blanca has met the band before so she was done. I went home and Blanca texted me that Paul came back and he signed and took pic's with the fans that where left. DAM!!!!!!
