Identity, love, sexuality, and family are explored in this contemporary drama. When shy Michelle meets outgoing Lou, they are surprised by the connection that sparks between them. They are both pre-op transsexuals, and the quest to understand their own identities deepens as an unlikely friendship—and romance—blossoms. Michelle and Lou embark on a journey of self-acceptance, but they can’t shut out the rest of the world, where many people, including their own families, are not so accepting of the path they’re on. The two must confront those who aren’t willing to live and let live, with dire consequences.
